MallorcaAmateur Open international chess tournament
Any player with a valid federation license can take part.
Players will be ranked in the following way:
- First, according to their blitz elo
- If a player doesn't have a blitz elo, their standard elo will be assigned as if it were blitz
- If they have neither blitz nor standard elo, they will be placed at the end in alphabetical order.
The registration fee is €10. Those interested can sign up by completing the registration form, via WhatsApp at 667 246 104, or by email at info@winterchess.com, indicating their first name, last name, and club.
For organizational reasons and due to a possible limitation of places, registrations will close 1 day before the start of the tournament, and will be accepted in order of registration.
For this tournament, there is a total prize pool of €200, which is distributed as follows.

The games will be played with 5 minutes for the whole match, plus 3 seconds per move using the Bronstein system, for each of the players.
If a player wants, they can ask for a 0-point bye in any of the rounds.
The matches are scheduled to be played as follows, although the timing is indicative since the matches will begin once the previous round has ended.

The tournament will be held in the halls of the Hotel GPRO Valparaiso Palace & SPA *****, located at Francisco Vidal Sureda Street, 23, in Palma de Mallorca.
The following tiebreakers will be applied in the order listed below.
1- Head-to-head result
2- Buchholz minus the worst result
3- Total Buchholz
4- Sonneborn-Berger
5- Recursive Performance

For anything not provided for in these rules, the tournament will be governed by the current FIDE regulations.
Registration for the tournament implies acceptance of these rules. Likewise, the organization reserves the right to change these rules if necessary.
