Any player who turns 14 at most during 2026 may take part; it is not necessary to be registered with a federation.

Registration

The registration fee is â‚¬5. Those interested can sign up by filling out the registration form, via WhatsApp at 667 246 104, or by email at info@winterchess.com, providing their full name, email, and phone number.

For organizational reasons and due to a possible limitation of places, registrations will close on October 3, and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tie Brake

The following tiebreakers will be applied in the order listed below.

1- Head-to-head result
2- Buchholz minus the worst result
3- Total Buchholz
4- Sonneborn-Berger
5- Recursive Performance

Time control

The games will be played with 5 minutes for the entire game, plus 3 seconds per move according to the Bronstein system, for each of the players.

BYE

If a player wishes, they may request a half-point bye in any of the rounds, except for the last round, where in this case it will be for 0 points.

Schedule

The matches are scheduled to be played in the following manner, although the schedule is indicative since the matches will begin once the previous round has finished.
